Crazy story.. The seller actually went to an estate sale (as he often does) and there it was in the garage on a shelf. Had a price tag on it for like 75 bucks I think. No one there knew what it was and all passed it up. Even he didn't know what he found but was smart enough to snatch it up. He said something about it just spoke to him. He bought it with the intention to sell and make a few bucks.
Fast forward to the actual sale on Ebay... This one still hurts me, but he listed it at auction with a start of .99 or BUY IT NOW for 299.00!! I was late to the listing and someone decided to start the auction instead of taking it down for 299. crazy....
Anyway, I started figuring out how in the hell I'd pay for it, but losing the auction was never an option as I knew I had to have it. Will be in forever debt to those friends who helped me not miss this auction and own this beauty. I met up with the seller after the auction at a local antique store for the pickup. Had to save the shipping fees ya know!! haha!
I've recently paired this with the matching lighter. Anyone else have this pair?
