"Line-O-Site", a vintage clamp-on crosshair front sight for rifles, manufactured by Dockendorf & CO.
Designed as an accessory to aid in better shooting, allowing a user to add a simple crosshair aiming system to a rifle barrel.

The sight was made by Dockendorf & Co., Inc., located in Oronoque, Connecticut.
The device features simple crosshairs within a square frame that clamps onto the barrel of a rifle, functioning as a basic alternative or addition to standard iron sights.
Advertisements indicate the "Line-O-Site" was made to fit various rifles but were originally designed for Winchester & Remington rifles.
Considered a vintage accessory, with print advertisements and other materials dating its production to around the 1940s and possibly into the 1950s.
Comes with the original box, which is a desirable condition for collectors.
