Based on the information. I have the Wayne 70 first came out in 1937 and the last year was 1950. The first SN was 22510 and all records since then list the SN as either 5 or 6 digits long with 3 or 5 letter suffix that always began with a B. The suffix represented the specifics of that pump. I am not sure if there were different SN formats if the pump was not made in the USA though. If you post a photo of the pump and the SN plate maybe some of the other veterans on here can shed some light on the issue. Neil
