I have owned this Frontier gas-pump globe since late August or early September of 1970. I personally removed it from an in-place but no-longer-in-use gasoline pump in the Nebraska panhandle. It has been stored inside ever since.
Husky bought out Frontier Refining in 1968 and I suspect they had all active vendors rebrand to the Husky mark soon after, so it is believed that outlet stopped selling gasoline sometime before then.
The inner surfaces of the lenses and the body have the kind of dust accumulation that indicate years of sitting outside in all kinds of weather.
Recently an expert on these things has determined this is a reproduction, which came as a bit of a surprise to me. That would almost mean that Frontier was buying reproductions and sending them to their dealers.
The lenses are a bit over 13 inches in diameter and the body is glass.
Your opinions? Estimate of value?
