When i was early in the hobby and scared to over pay. This all original pump sold for $1900 if I recall. About 7-8 years ago.
Seems a little high even today.

Local friend had a 68 L88 corvette, aluminum head 427 4 speed, wanted $4500 I didnt have that much to my name and dad refused to co sign a loan on a "stupid corvette" Oh well im sure i wouldnt be here now if he had.....Lol

I was selling stuff at a flea market in my late teens .(early 2000s) The guy across the aisle from me had a bennett 900 series with a Harley globe on it. My dad pointed it out to me. I didn't go talk to him. I thought for sure he would want $500+ for it. As the sale was winding down, he sold it. I walked over and asked him what he sold it for. He said, "I was asking $150 for it. Only one guy asked me about it. He offered me fifty bucks. I told him I'd do $75."

We walked away from an orginal orange ripple globe that was for sale for $350 many many years ago. I wanted to buy it right then, but was blocked by those with me at the time. Always think about that one but there are tons of bad sales, missed deals.

App.forty years ago i walked away from this porcelain Shell sign near the Nevada border in N.Ca.

$400.00 was out of bounds for me at that time!

Frank,what is that SHELL sign worth today?

Not sure,i suspect 4-to 5 grand?

box approx. 18" long full of NOS flying A ethyl pump signs

price $15. & I bought one - didn't know any better
