Its no wonder the west coast globes are so hard to find, its because most stations never had them. The above picture is a perfect example. Four common Boyle Daytons or whatever they are and not a globe
on any of them. When you see pictures I bet 80% or better of stations on the coast had no globes, either because the station had a low canopy and globes wouldn't fit on the visibles or they
just used pumps similar to ones here that never even had globe holders

Great observation Kim. It looks like in the last 10 pictures of stations posted here (where you can see pumps), it appears that approximately 8 of them have pumps without globes !! And going back more pictures, several more stations don’t have globes either (however, some are due to canopy height.)

Maybe California had strict laws even then that you couldn't waste the energy of a lightbulb lighting a globe, so no globes lol!
