I am glad you like the handles. I used light oak stain and then dipped the entire handle in polyurethane 3 times to seal it. My Fry 5 gallon is outdoor pump so the wood handle needed a thick protective seal on it. An interior-maintained pump handle could probably use a hand-rubbed finish. In the USA, I have used a product called Formby's Tung Oil on oak.
