I lived in New England for 15 years before moving to Va. and am very experienced at bad weather driving. This trip had one tense moment and one dangerous time.
Tense is driving several miles up hair pin turns, in the mountains, trying to keep speed and running up on the plow before you make it to the top. Started loosing traction,{tense}.
Dangerous was running up on white out conditions at a steep grade, going a little to fast, and sliding sideways uphill in the wrong lane. There was that brief few seconds when my mind and body said, this van could flip. Later the beer sure helped.
Crazy was when I got back into Va. it was a beautiful sunny day.
