I have recently acquired a couple of Gilbarco 96s. They are both tall pumps but they are different heights. One pump still had the ID tag on it and it was a 96B. The other 96 was missing the tag so I'm not sure what series it is.
It looks like the difference is in the bases. One base measures 5 1/2" tall and the other is 7 3/4".
I thought a tall base was a tall base for the Gilbarco 96s. Shows you what I know. Why the difference in the bases?
I bought one of these pumps as a parts pump and I have noticed a few things different. One of the things I wanted was the side panel. One pump has louvers stamped in the side and the other one does not.
I didnt pay much for the pump but it is a good learning experience to have the two to compare.
Thanks for any insight you may have on this.
