Like Bob said, Atlas had nothing to do with Goodyear. Atlas was formed by Standard of New Jersey (ESSO), Standard of Ohio (SOHIO), Standard of Indiana, and Standard of California.
The early Atlas signs had white and blue diagonal stripes on the upper right and lower left corners. I suspect your sign is post war, and likely from the early 50's. Later, and I'm not sure of the time frame, Atlas signs were lighter shades of red and blue.
