It was a division of the Standard Oil Company
From the Standard Oil History:
"The former Standards banded together in 1930 to form the Atlas Corporation, maker of tires, batteries, and other automotive accessories (TBA) that were provided to Standard and Standard-related stations of all stripes from the Atlantic to the Pacific."
