How does everyone display thier globes?Do you line them up on a shelf or mount them on the wall?I know on top of a pump would be best but I only have 2 pumps & one isn't set up for a globe. They also are not finished being restored yet.
I started with globes about 1 year ago I bought my first 2 from Rex's auction (I miss Rex).I now have managed to aquire 9 of the little buggers.A don't have any globes of great value just common entry level poor man's globes but I love 'um & want some more.
A shelf is nice but you are then limited to where ever the shelf is if you have some kind of wall mount you can put them about anywhere.Does anyone make an inexpensive wall mount for globes?I bought 3 from Rex he posted on here shortly after his auction. They looked homemade a piece of aluminum bent at a 90 with a 7" ring & some set screws to hold the globe. There was a hole drilled in the center so you could wire it for a light if you like.It was simple but perfect & I'd like to get something similar but can't find anything.
I'd just like to see how some of you have your globes displayed not to mention I'd like to see some really cool globes as well.
Thanks, Tom
Got Socony???

I got a friend of mine to make a wood base for mine. I then fasten on a polished ring that I get from the one dealer at Iowa gas, put in a light socket and set them on top of my computer desk. (Use a low watt light bulb)I was able to get 5 set up like this before I ran out of room. I also bought 3 of the 90 degree brackets from Rex after his auction like you did. Plus I now have 3 pumps so most of my globes are on display. I would like to get a shelf put up along the basement wall that will give me a lot more room one day. My opinion, globes need to be lit up on display.

I screw the mounts to the ceiling, turn the lenses upside down, and hang my globes. I have no room for shelves in my man cave.
