Garland passed away? Dang... he was indeed a cool guy. Had a HUGE collection. I was at his store one day eating a burger and enjoying a chocolate shake (while my wife shopped at the outlet mall) and was looking at several signs--his daughter called him and he came by. We visited for an hour or so about some stuff at the store then he asked if I was in a hurry... of course I wasn't so he drove me to his house. Wow! he had HUNDREDS of old advertising signs covering every inch of interior wall space and just stacked up everywhere! I ended up talking him out of several of them that I bought as a package deal--still have them proudly displayed in my shop...
