One last pic. I was able to rig a samll Christmas light in it. Hey, until my wife pics out a painting or I get the inside of the garage finished, I think it's found it's home.
As I lit it up, I couldn't help but think. This thing may have never been lit. Or at least not in a very long time. It was found in the attack of a little building in 1975 and has never been lit since then. And who knows how long it was in that attack. According to the globe CD this lense dates from 1931-1940.
