Knowing that it's real I would love to have it, but it's a lot more than I would spend on an oil can!!

Nice can. Andy is a good guy, I dont know what the can is worth but I am pretty sure he is not trying to gouge anyone on price.

Hi. This is my can. It is 100% real and will stand behind it.
I will admit my asking price is on the high side, but am not trying to rip anyone off (It seems pretty standard to end up at 60%-70% of asking price so that is where I hoping to be). I have owned it for a couple of years, but am trying to help fund the purchase of some other oil cans. If this was not an international can, it would be staying in my collection (conditon and graphics are excellent).
With that said, I would still like to hear other's opinion on value.
Thanks for the support from my fellow Ohioans (Dan and Wes)!!

Great looking can Andy!! Condition looks to be incredible with just a little petina brewing on the top and bottom. I believe that may be a Cooper Coventry Climax, early 60's F1 car, making it certainly British I would think.

I believe that Nucky in Belgium could give an opinion as to value as well, he may have seen a few of these. It is a German can with a 60s open cockpit F1 racing car on it. Looks nice for sure. Inhalt, a German word, means "contains" and the GmbH behind the company's name is like LLC- a limited liability corporation. So it would appear to be a 60s era can from West Germany unless it is a later production with a vintage racing car on it.

Wow great job on the German angle Fred. I didn't pay attention to the text. And I was only guessing on the car, but I still stand by my guess that that is a Cooper (British)F1 car.

Looks as if you folks have the "subject surrounded" as the "Sheriff" would say in 1930s Westerns...
As Fred said, Can is from Germany.. It is from the 60s... There are 2 versions that I know of... (might be more)
IMO, Andy is high with his asking price. But, he also has "Make Offer" in his Auction... Veedol_AL has this version of the can, but I do not... I haven't found a can in my "price range"...
Nice can Andy!

Steve I do believe the car on the can could be a Lotus Ford F1 car... Veedol and Lotus had a relationship for years... (I do enjoy finding ads that most people have not seen) 1963- World Champion Jim Clark in Lotus Ford F1:
