A seller from N.Y. has these on ebay #390648414496 He brags that they have fooled the experts. He "can make you any state 66 passed through". Wonder how long before they are sold as "original" ???

Maybe not all of them but most of them did. These are still bad reproductions with all the fake rust....

Yup, agreed. These are *****. But I have an older original with nothing but 66 and there are a slew of ***** copies with US.

I know these fake ones that are out there now are not marked and they are almost same as the original shield 15" x 16" are going to present a problem down the line in years to come.

Put them on a sign post, tighten down with washers and let them sit out in the elements for a few years and they will be very hard to tell, and fool the experts. I think the value will start going down on these US 66 signs. I hate to see it because I just picked one up last June and it was not that cheap.

This guy refuses to mark or date his sign as reproduction.
We have had this discussion before on here about this.

I seen a fake 66 sign in an antique store recently. The dealer had it listed as reproduction, but was still asking $900 for the sign. CRAZY!! It looked original to my eyes, much better fake than the ones pictured on ebay.
