The doors were not bent or damaged. Currently they stick out a bit more then preferred on the hinge side. Each door had eight rubber stoppers which of course were hardened. I did get more from a auto parts supply. I can live with the gap for awhile but will pull the hinges off in the future and do a little tune-up on them.
The door closes well on the opposite side of hinges and the locks engage fine. No bottoming out on the screws, and yes I did use round head for now.
I think my mistake was not numbering the hinges to where they came of during disassembly. Next pump that will be done.
I have another exact pump on line so I shouldn't make the same mistake on that one. It will be Shell Regular with the red "shell gasoline" plates.

At any rate thanks for the comments and kudos, coming from the pros I am feeling pretty good about how it came out.

I guess it is like that scratch on your car, the only one that notices it is you.
