Heres another sign I just have to comment on. I believe any Shell plate with three grommets and a white back are phony. As far as I can tell, it started out not too long ago as a new 20.00 sign and has now deteriorated to a 472.00 "Old" one. ebay 261186269280 Am I wrong?

On a side note, there is this plate with five grommets that I havent ever noticed before. 200907567196 I'm pretty sure its not legit,as there is no makers mark, or made in USA, and it has a white back. Also I not sure if there even ever was a yellow PPP. Will someone that knows about these five holed ones educate me?

There have been a few of these three hole pump plates on ebay recently. I'm not very experienced,but i feel they're all fakes. I have two pumps from the 30's-40's that were originally Shell pumps,and they don't have that three hole pattern. The "BOOK" also does not
show any three hole signs. I hope this is of some help. Dave.

No Known Curved Original Shell signs in any known collections.
All known SHELL Pectin PPP were the Red Background w/ Yellow Letters, Except the GREEN STREAK round PPP.
Oil Rack Porcelain Plates are Yellow Background w/ Red Letters & DO NOT have mounting Holes [they have clips on back].
