Anyone who knows what this is? The guy is asking $260 for it and it has a cracked glass.. Is it worth the price?

Randy, it looks as though the guy asking the question is from Norway. So yes the BP item is foreign to us but not to him.

It can't be a pump as there is no mechanism but it looks more like a visiguage of some sort for a remote pumping unit?
Hard to value something without knowing just what it is?
Since it has 1 liter written on the glass, maybe its a measuring device of some sort?

It is part of a pump, but you'll have to find the Italian Collection/web site the Foreign pump book featured.

It is a pump, and yes i'm in Norway  I found two pictures of similar pumps, but they look more complete. I think they're called wallpumps. What would the pricetag for an early american wallpump be? Here is the pics i found:

To my Knowledge Fleckenstein & AJAX were the only USA pump companys that made Wall mounts. They made 5 & 10gal single cylinder & a Double 5gal cylinder Wall mount.
I don't feel they are in the same category to compare them for Value.
Back when Euro pumps were HOT here, I'd guess you'd be getting $800-1,000. But today you might Squeeze/Squeak $600 from someone.
I know a few guys that bought Euro pumps back then & are having problems Selling them w/o coming up SHORT what they paid.

John, they are most often for Kerosene (fotogen) or white spirits and such. Not necessarily from a gas station, could have been used at a farm also. If it has clear gas branding , its probably from a station though.
Shouldn'r be too hard to make it comlete by finding the pump handle and mechanism.
I have a single cylinder Ljungmans myself from the late 50s. No branding but I got it from the owner of Shell in Mora in Sweden. Has a paper label of "Fotogen". In the picture you cannot see the pump but it is fastened to the unit below...
