Hello,

I have the opportunity to purchase a Wayne 615 and would appreciate an opinion and advice. The pump looks to be solid with only a few minor dents, slight surface rust, and no deep rust. The glass cylinder is cracked and may break just moving it. The globe is also missing. I can buy the pump for $850.

Thanks in advance.

That would be a 10 gal. I think that's a pretty good price. I've seen these start at $1400. Just want to be sure you have most of the parts there. You can find the glass cylinders out there to replace the cracked one. Looks like a nice pump. There are more experienced guys who can tell you more and what it would take to restore or clean up for display. If clean enough, you could leave in original condition. Good luck with it.

Now that theres a FAT pump! Price is ok but not great! Check for missing parts.
Original handle--$100 to $150
Clear glass cylinder--$450 plus shipping
Tinted glass cylinder--$650 plus shipping
Gallon markers--$50 per stick
Drain back assembly --$100
Black repop hose--$50
Nice original nozzle--$100 (the kind that locks in the drain)
A nice clean original and complete pump will run $1250 to $1400.
PS--Make sure the base isn't cracked!

It's on Craigslist and has been for a while. It's not a steal but a decent deal if you are close and want a good yard pump. Go get it!

I own two Model T's and would like to have a pump over by the garage to compliment them. I think it would be nice to have one. I just don't know enough about these pumps to know what I'm buying, or if I'm paying too much.

I appreciate the comments.

Pump sold to someone else. I don't know if it was because I posted here. I hope not. Oh well.

I appreciate those who offered advice.

Welcome to the hobby, Here in NM, I can assure you that several guys would go get that pump immediately if they saw it for $850 . bucks, It may have happened to you, I think it could happened all over the country.

My advice would be to get to know an experience collector you can trust and discuss with him rater than posting a grate deal like that on here for all to see.

There are a few guys around here you can trust!
