Joe, I did enjoy it for several reasons . First, I've always been a fan of architecture . The existing "Denver " station being used until the new Type D Teauge station is ready to go. Hey, you can see the pride on those men's work . Ed Shaver

Great video. Nice views of the gas pump islands.
When was the last time you saw some one cutting dimensional lumber with a hand saw? Or a construction site void of safety equipment, no hard hats or safety harness's.

I thought the use of the hand saws to cut the lumber was cool too. They also used shovels for all of the digging and surface prep leveling. One guy had a big pry bar and looked like he had plenty of experience with it. No Bobcats or front-end loaders for these guys. Wonderful video!

How about breaking up the concrete with 10 lb sledge hammers and no eye protection.

Thanks. I really enjoyed that too. Those small mixers were cool. I'd like to have one of those. If I had room to store it. lol Seems like people moved faster around the jobsite back then. They are pouring wet, but if you notice, they are using dry shake or surface hardener after most of the bleed water's gone. That method is much less common today. Today its mostly used to color the surface -for decorative concrete or on factory floors. Sometimes they use Emory, steel, granite- makes the surface HARD.

I saw the hand threader for the pipe and have done that many times and did not think that was the good ole days
