A good friend of mine sent me this picture today of a sinclair sign that is nailed to a tree at there cabin for years. He said he would sell it to me so i would like to be fair with him. He said he thought it was about 12" round. Any help on a value would be nice. Thanks Uploaded with ImageShack.us

This one in an earlier thread is 11"; http://oldgas.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=300964#Post300964Being that this one is 12" as most Repro's are, gotta say Repro. Size, Grommets, Back, word spacing at bottom, Shelving of porcelain, Fonts to name a few. Repro's of these have been around since before the 1980's. Check vendor catalogs/web sites & compare the repro pictures to this one. LOOK FOR RED FLAGS, never say "well, it's close to the picture of the Original/Repro"

I can't see it being worth more than $100-125 in that condition.

Without knowing if the sign is a 12" repop, I can't imagine anyone being able to give an honest value on it.
The earliest repops of the Sinclair "Dino" I remember seeing was in the early 70s.... One could drive almost anywhere in Fayetteville and Hope Mills and see them.. As they were sold in the Main PX at Bragg...
If it is original, I would value it in the range Bob suggested, maybe somewhat less... $75-$110... To pay $125, one would have to be very green as these signs are on ebay and in auctions continuously.... But that is just my opinion......
