I have become sickened at the number of innocent eBay buyers pay hundreds of dollars for "vintage" Mountain Dew Pam clocks. In fact, there is one listed at this very moment by eBay seller "qualitycounts23". I'm not sure where else to post the information, so let's try here in the event I am able to save some... -)

Let me be clear here that I am in no way accusing any seller of intentionally misleading potential buyers. I am simply pointing out factual information in the interest of promoting "caveat emptor".

Pam was NEVER licensed by Mountain Dew at ANY point to produce clock faces for them. This fact has been confirmed by Alan Petretti, well-known Coke and soda memorabilia expert.

So if you are a Mountain Dew or general soda collector and see a Mountain Dew Pam clock that looks too good to be true, that's because it most definitely is. :-)

Great holiday weekend to you all...

So, that begs the question, " Were any makers licensed to produce Mountain Dew clocks?"

None of the big makers of back-lit advertising clocks like Telechron, Swihart etc. didn't do any Mountain Dew clocks. If I'm right the only Mountain Dew clocks that are authorized are plastic manufactured type clocks.

Always looking for back-lit advertising clocks, prefer Telechron, American Time & Electric Time. Also Pam in good condition.
