Now this is just my opinion but I believe this sign is a fake. I would like to have other people's thoughts. We had a member on here from Canada, that had a mint one that he said that he had gotten from a reputable dealer. They are just alike except this one has the usual damage. They may have been made in Canada and that is the difference. Here is the differences that I see. The H, U and S are shaped different in Husky. The hyphen between Tri and power is not centered and also the E is different in Power. Also no gromments. I looked on Matthews site at sold PPs and also the ones that I own and this is what I see. IMO
I agree with all of the comments that you made. I believe it is a reproduction as well. The biggest things that throw up a red falg for me are no gromments, the back looks off, and the color (it appears to be a dark red when they should be an orange color for a PPP).
From what I know, I believe that red was only used on the fiberglass version.

This seller is out to lunch with respect to the prices of many of other items that he up for sale. I have genuine versions of both the Mercedes Sign and BMW sign and market value is about 10% of his Buy-it-Now price.

Absolute POS Husky sign. It is definitely an offshore repop.
