There's a sign that shows up on eBay with regularity that says "Gulf Authorized Dealer" with two Gulf TM at each end.
Measures 40" x 9".
Does anyone know what era this sign is from? It looks really old, like 1920s or 30s, but I don't personally know. I've never seen one in situ on a map or in a photo.

The Gulf TMs don't use the shaded or light blue trim around the letters.

Just curious.

Here is a shot of that sign for this sites GREAT OLD PICS COLUMN. I think that that sign is prewar(WWII) though. Dave

Thanks. That does look like it.
I noticed the clockface pumps and the Gulf one piece globes, so I'd tend to agree it's pre-WW II.

Gotta love that fried chicken & those hot biscuits!
