I have a clock like the one pictured below. Before I bought it, someone pulled out the second hand and the gear inside fell out. Now it's missing and the clock repair guy can't find a suitable replacement gear or the entire assembly. He can put in a new battery operated mechanism, but the shadow of it will be seen when the light is on.

I'd like to find a parts clock, parts mechanism or a good complete mechanism.

I hope someone has this laying around collecting dust. Even something close would likely work.

Did you check Wayne's clocks in Dayton Ohio?

I bought a complete motor assembly for my 7up clock from him. My clock is older than yours but he should be able to sell you a new movement/motor I would think.

Check Waynes. If he doesnt have what you need post a picture of the type of movement you have-or at least a view of the back of your mechanism. A lot of backlit clocks used the same parts. But there are variations. More lnfo would help your search.

I believe the eBay clock motor noted is an hour and minute hand-only model. It looks like badgas's clock needs a motor with the second hand drive as well. As mentioned, I'm sure Wayne's Clocks can suppy it. John

Yup, needs a second hand. I'll disassemble the clock today to see what motor I need.

Follow up question since you guys are knowledgeable in this.

How would I go about removing the remaining hour/minute hands from the clock motor? Do I just pull them out or is there a release somewhere?

Can't tell by your pic...but all the ones I've done you rotate the second hand backwards...it will unscrew off of the stem of the motor. Then simply pull the hands straight off.

Thanks. That makes sense because the third hand has tiny screw threads on the end.
