While on vacation in Florida I noticed flea market stands selling various state car tags for about $15 ea. It is kind of neat to see some state plates from across the US from you. In Illinois I don't recall seeing plates from out west or the upper Atlantic regions. Is there any interest in trading some plates? I think I have a set of Illinois plates (we have a front plate too) from a van I sold. I may have pitched them. Mail me one of yours and I'll mail one of mine to you at the same time. Any takers?

I am collecting personalized and vanity plates from any state/year.

Also, any old plates, pre - 1925 or so.

My oldest is a 1914 Illinois that I'm working on restoring.

I would be interested in trading plates from distant lands like Hawaii, Alaska, NY, Vermont, etc. Basically non-midwest.

I am also looking for a very current Pennsylvania plate that has a tiger on it.

I bend the newer issue plates in half (90º angle) and use them on my birdhouses as roofs. I have over 100 Illinois steel plates that I paid 25¢ each for....but they are blue, red or yellow...very boring.

Looks like there is a little interest. I can't find my plates I took off a van I sold, but my brother-in-law runs a used car lot. I'll bet he has some. I've got a few more feelers out too.

I don't have a regular Illinois plate right now, but I do have an Illinois dealer plate from 2010. That would be kind of a rare thing to have. Would that be of interest?
