There was an auction on ebay that had the top of a gas pump that looked like it had places for ad glass, but said it was originally designed to have a message scroll around the top. I'm not sure how else to describe it so here's the link to the auction

What pump would this have been on? How exactley did it operate? I've been to several gas shows and never have seen a setp up like this.

It's for a G&B 996 "Sell-A-Vision" 1950.
Whould have a punched endless tape with your message.

The pump is shown on page 185 of Jack Sim's Illustrated Guide to Gas Pumps. These pumps are pretty unusual to find.
