I bought this on Ebay. Can anyone confirm is this is true NOS? I'm happy with it either way, I just want to learn.

Also, are there known pictures of original DX work shirts? Was the "Known by the customers we keep" patch real or made up for the movie The Outsiders?

Lastly, where was the last DX gas station? Or was it a mass rebranding and there was no actual last one?

Hey Lee, I would say your DX patch is original and NOS. When looking to buy NOS patches it’s always a good idea to see a photo of the back. If it has a shiny backing that usually indicates a newer (heat sealed/iron on patch). There is a thread on Oldgas that most of us patch collectors post on when we get new ones added to our collection. I have posted the link to that thread below. There are a ton of them in there that you can use as a reference. I have also shared a photo of my DX Diamond patches as well. Happy hunting!

That seller has plenty of ugly fake patches listed. I wouldn’t buy anything from them.

I'm happy with it either way. The color on front is brilliant, which seemed like a red flag but for $9 I just wanted the patch for the shirt I'm making. The back side is yellowed. Which I was happy to see. I'm new to patches so I also have no clue what years this patch was used.
