Can anyone give some guidance on how to safely clean this Gulf globe?
I believe this is from the 20's.

Welcome, I would start with mild soap and water l, use a white towel so you can see if your taking any paint off. If that does not work go stronger keeping an eye on the rag for paint loss. I believe that's baked on so I would think it wont come off. There is more globe collectors on here that have more experience cleaning these.

Soap and water to start.
Then any remaining 'stains' can be cleaned with Windex or Formula 409.
Remember. These were designed to survive out in any weather.

Thanks for the quick responses, guys. I later found this YouTube video from the TAC guy. Cleaning a globeI'll try the mild approach first and go from there, keeping an eye out for any damage.

I use soft scrub with bleach and scotch bright pad... wet globe first and then clean.
Be careful as these i believe your gulf is painted on versus Dan tanking about 13.5" or 15" or 16.5" baked frit lenses.
Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.
