I've searched, but I'm coming up empty. I remember an old post about a member who had a Fry 17 external pump visible that was in front of his Dad/Grandpa's store...something like that. He was restoring it and he made a wooden base for the pump since it was one of the early Frys that didn't have a base and instead sat on a concrete/wooden base. I would love to see that post again and be able to see the pictures of that base. Is anyone a better searcher than I am or do you remember that post well enough to help me with some search terms?

There are two ways to search old posts on Oldgas.com, sometimes with different results. Try using the Google search form near the top of this page. For search terms, type in "fry external" using the double quotes to only search for the word combo, not the individual words separately.
Also try the forum internal search by clicking on the magnifying glass icon on the upper right corner of forum pages, then click on the words, "Advanced Forum Search" On that form, click on the forum section you want to search (you can pick several) and select the date range with 6 years being the widest range, allowed going back nearly 25 years. "Newer than 12 years, Older than 6 years" worked for me. Type in "fry external" with the quotes in the search terms. Didn't find what you wanted, but found these.

There is a good chance that a photo was posted and "fry external" was not used in text in the post.
