I have this porcelain life gasoline pump plates, I went ahead and purchased one a few years ago, thinking they were real but now I question them I see them occasionally come up at auctions, bringing good money. It was a small oil company out of Clovis, New Mexico. Welcome anybody with any other information on these

If they repoped these , Who ever did it, did a very good job . The reason I question these because the grommets are brass and not nickel plated , like a lot of other pump plates I see . But from what I have read on some of my research , you can not always go by grommets . But there is one collector here in New Mexico that says these are reproduction . Some times it puts doubt in my mind with all the repops out there . Thank you Advertogist for your input

It's hard to keep up with the repros these days since something new comes to the market with some frequency, but personally I've not seen a modern repro with that gray/black/white peppered back. I have many original PP's with the gray peppered porcelain finish back. I know it's probably not a rule that it means it's an original sign, but has anyone seen a repro with it yet?

I believe if
Kyle Moore found a stack of these back in the day , That reassures me that they are the" Real McCoy " I sure hope so. I bought it as real
