Hello,

Can anyone offer any advice on how to remove the hands on my Bennett clock face pump by chance? Thank for any help.

Sometimes these are left handed threads? Use penetrating oil liberally the carefully try moving the mech both ways with pliers to see if its comes loose? That has always worked for me. Regards, Paul

I may be wrong but the exposed threads looks to be left hand tighten to me. I have a couple of Bennett clock face pumps and believe both pumps hands were left hand threads.

Thanks for the reply guys. So the cap that was on this was reverse threads and this is the threads you are seeing in the above picture. I removed the cap and the set screw in the "disc" between the hands and everything spins on the shaft, the threaded part and the "Chinese star" looking part spin on the shaft. It looks like the end is pressed on? Is it supposed to be a threaded shaft? Thanks
