It's with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of longtime California collector Richard Hobbs after several years of health problems. Richard was one of the nicest gentlemen and collectors you could ever meet. He was very knowledgeable on Union of California and it was one of his main companies to collect. He worked for them for many years. He also had an extensive collection of other west coast items and license plates, frames and toppers. He will be greatly missed in the collecting community....Rest in Peace "Mister Hobbs"

Sad to hear this news. Mr. Hobbs was one of the nicest people I've met in this hobby. Heartfelt condolences to his friends and family.

"Hobbs", as I called him will be missed, He made it to every west coast show, and his presence will be missed. Very sad to hear this news.
Wanted anything Flying A Gas, Signal Gas, Hancock oil co, and Sunland.

He was a nice, polite, very respectfull man. He came to my house and NEVER outstepped his boundaries. We need more people like him in this country. I am sorry to hear of his passing.
