Hello forum! I was excavating a basement foundation today and found an old Pontiac sign. I was amazed at the depth it was and how well it held up being buried for so long. I found some examples online but I’m not sure exactly what kind of business it was or the era that it’s from. I think it’s 42” wide..Any help would be much appreciated!

Show us pics after you wash it off. That is a sought after sign, condition is a big part of value. Greg

Pontiac switched to the arrow logo in 1959, so 1959 or earlier for your sign. Often there is a date code from the sign maker along the bottom edge, but all the rust may have removed/obscured any code that might have been there.
