Does anybody have this pump where the access door is still connected to the drain back? If so, would you be able to post a picture or two for me ? Thanks

After 2 and a half years of soaking,heat,prying,brute force,sweating,blood, etc. I finally got this thing apart. I was surprised how difficult it was to get that packing rope to let go of the bronze shaft

It's amazing how hard some of this stuff is to break apart.

You didn't mention any cussing, so that's good!
