I was searching here on old gas and realized to my surprise there was an oil company with my last name, Lunsford Oil Company out of Ottawa Kansas back in the 30s. Looks like some of the members here on old gas have owned a Lunsford globe in the past. I would be curious to know if any are available and what the asking price would be? Thanks!

That globe doesn’t come up too often but there are some out there. Price is anybody’s guess nowadays but on a banded body expect upwards of $2000. You might check with Scott Benjamin and Rusty Carpenter as they trade in globes every day and would keep you in mind if one came up or possibly know where one was for sale. They don’t post on here all the time but both check in here and have active Facebook pages, Gas Globes, and Gas Pump Globes. Good luck in your search.
