Do any of you know what went on the top of this light and where I could find one. The harp is a Benjamin and the shade is 18" in diameter. The socket is loose in the hole and the circular thing between the harp is spring loaded. That's about all I know, it's a nice light, I'd like to put it on that Conoco pole I got from Peter.

The top of most island lamps had a gray unpainted metal junction box where the line-in power wiring coming through the harp connected to the lamp in the shade and any spotlights attached to the junction box. There were different shapes and styles, but all had threaded ports for spotlights and a door to access wiring.

Here’s a cone top for an 18” diameter shade. It measures 8” dia x 4 3/4” tall. There are also 20” shades that use a 9 1/2” dia cone that would not work on the 18” shade. NFS.
