I’ve got a friend looking for information on these two pump plates.
He’s pretty sure they are real, but has never seen any with the word “gasoline” on the bottom.
I’m totally clueless on Mobilgas stuff, so any information would be greatly appreciated.

They call them the drop leg when goes into the a. West coast I believe but dont quote me on it. They did make these but not sure if all were dated or not.

Yes, those are originals. The west coast black border/lettering pump plates which there are Mobilgas and Mobilgas Special versions with the word GASOLINE at the bottom. None of the west coast plates were manufacturer marked or dated. Here is the link I posted to the known repro of this sign, which is wrong all around.

I like the black boarder Mobilgas. I have been lucky to own four unrestored pumps that still had the pump plates on them. I still have the two Bennett`s.
