Speaking from experience, making an insurance claim with UPS is a complicated process. My lifetime record with UPS insurance is zero for two. I had one sign damaged (to be fair, the seller packaged the sign poorly), and UPS was open to paying a claim, but UPS does take possession of the item after a claim is paid, and I choose the sign over the money. I hope your experience with UPS insurance is better than mine has been.
