Probably the most bizarre purchase I have ever made. It is a paper moth bag for storing seasonal clothes that were not being used. Flit was created as an insecticide in the 1920s by Standard Oil. Even though Standard Oil owns Imperial Oil in Canada they did market some of their products here under the Stanco name. I found a couple of ads for the bag from 1935 and 1936. I believe the insecticide contained 5% DDT. I have a couple of Flit cans and a sprayer in my collection. Cheers, Don.
