This Gargoyle Aero Mobiloil oil cabinet sign / globe includes the original metal mounting bracket. The more common “Mobiloil” version is pictured on page 232 of the Benjamin/Henderson Gas Globe CD, along with the more often seen oval-shaped glass cabinet globes. It’s the “AERO” on this one that makes it a rare piece….. there are no “Aero Mobiloil” globes of any sort listed on the CD. I have seen one other like it at the Columbus show about 10 years ago that was in condition 5 and without the bracket. As you can see in the pictures there’s some minor damage to the porcelain on the very edge, but the field on both sides is clear and in excellent condition. It can be displayed as a free standing globe, or hung on the wall as a sign with the bracket removed. $3,000 including shipping, or best offer.
