I'm wondering the approximate value of these 2 vintage GoodYear signs.
These are glazed/hammered porcelain, a combination of incandescent bulbs + neon.
Manufacture date is 10/30/1955.
These were rooftop signs, from the roof of Kahn & Keville, a tire shop in San Francisco.
The owner of the signs was originally looking to get $250,000 per sign, but I feel those are "Jay Leno" prices, lol.
He has since dropped the price to $60-$65k per sign.
I'm curious if you guys think this is reasonable or way too much.
I'm looking for an honest assessment of these signs' worth.
3-4 pieces of the neon are broken, and these signs used to rotate, but no longer.
I'm not sure, but I'd bet the transformers are not working.
Other than that these fellas are in great shape.
Approximately 1 ton each, and double-sided.
Any help is appreciated, and I thank you for your time!
Cheers!
