Thanks for excepting me to your forum. I am not sure how much I will use it but it appears to be the place to get answers to my questions.
I have just recently begun research on a White Eagle Gasoline figure I have had for over 70 years.
My father drug it home in the mid 50s when I was about 6. I’m pushing 80 now.
It s cast iron and is approximately 33” tall. The body seems to be full cast with a hollow base and 3 holes to mount it.
Is there any numbers or identifying marks I should look for to confirm it is an original? Any reasonably obvious characteristics or features that will identify it?

Due to age and health I am starting to divest myself of many items that seem to have followed me home in the last many years so my wife and kids don’t have to be burdened with it.
I have read some posts on this forum from about 10 years ago that indicate that I do have an original.
A person has an aluminum one for sale for $3200 but it may be a reproduction according to what I have read here.
Is EBay the only place to sell an item like this? Sorry I’m getting ahead of myself, I need to find out what I have first.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Rick, Welcome to Oldgas! I'm sure the members here can answer your questions. Post some pictures of the eagle to help with the identification. Once you figure out what you have then you can determine what your best-selling option would be. Good luck!

Since you live in Iowa, you have an option to bring your eagle to Iowa Gas, one of the largest petroliana swap meets in the country August 4-6, 2025, Des Moines, Iowa. Cart it around on a wagon and get opinions and offers.

Thanx for the info.
However I am pushing 80 with a bad hip. I don’t have a wagon and can’t drag a 200+ pound cast iron eagle around.
Where is the swap meet? Maybe I can get it loaded into my truck and just show pictures of it.
I’ going to try and download pictures to my original post now.
Thanks again for the help.

Iowa Gas is held across the street from the Des Moines Airport. Learn more at:
http://www.iowagas.com

Lots of buyers will be there, but don't wait until the last day.
