Hello all! Wife & I have been collecting automobilia for 40 years. Now, our estate planer has asked for a list of all assets & values, including antiques, collectibles, & heirlooms.
We`re hoping you can help us out with "ball park" estimates on some of the garage items. We understand that more & better pictures would be ideal, but these are what we have to work with.
We`d like to start with a 1927 Tokheim 620 ten gallon visible -- a 1931 Bennett 150 clockface -- a 1912-1915 Wayne blind (or curbside) -- a 1939 Tokheim in Phillips orange -- a 1958 oil rack (missing front door) --
a 1938 Gilbarco (missing rear door) -- a 1960s oil rack (Mobil for your boat) -- and a 1960s Pegasus rug from a Mobil station. The Shell & Red Crown globes are original. The Phillips is an original globe with a reproduction face.
Again, we just need approximate value range. We`ll make a couple more posts with more items. We`d rather make 2 or 3 posts with a short list each, than clog up the page with multiple items.
Thank you in advance for any help you folks can render! Happy motoring!

You could research Barrett Jackson, Mecum, and other large auction companies (like the ones that advertise here) for completed auction results for the latest and probably best results.

I agree with Ohio Oil. The results of the above auctions would be more astute since it shows the actual market and not just guesses? A good local auctioneer can , in most cases, give a good appraisal as well.

I haven`t had much luck navigating Barrett & Mecum. When I do find completed memorabilia, the items are not what I have.

liveauctioneers.com is a good site to search auction results for many auction houses. Enter your search terms and you have two options: "Upcoming Items" and "Price Results". As an example, I searched on "bennett 150 gas pump and it came up with 15-16 examples that have sold over the last several years. Here's the link:

Note that if you want to see the actual hammer price, you'll have to register and then log in. But it's free so no big deal.
