Years ago I came into this hobby from collecting anything Volkswagen. In my VW business I had three original split window VWs. To collected 100 gas pumps plus trucks of tons of petroliana, I sold my very large of VW collection of literature. So, I started to collect gas pump literature. I started with gas pumps, then it was air meters, then it was anything to do with anything that was used in a service station. I now have over 45 file drawers filled with just about anything to do with a service station, plus I have written five books covering gas pump identification and air meter identifications. I believe I have the largest collection of service station literature in the world. I first built a website about all of this, it now has over 12,000 images on it. My goal was to sell copies or originals copies of the gas pump literature that I had. While I may not have something to do with how a particular pump goes together, I do have some original ligature on many pumps.

Remember, the gas pump manufactures did not write manuals on how to restore these pumps. They wrote manuals on how to repair the pumps, so their manuals were designed on how to identify the part that was broke, so the manuals showed where the part was.

So, if any of you are restoring or reassembling a pump that you took apart years ago, I probably have a manual that shows where the part goes.

My gas pump books identify what the pump is, my gas pump literature shows where the part goes.

I am now 85 years old and a veteran of both the Korean Conflict and the Viet Nam conflict, and I may be the oldest member of this site besides Jim who created the site. It is time for all of this to go.
My website for information is: www:petrocollect.com (please note that this site is dormant, meaning I cannot add/change/or delete on it, it just sits thee for your enjoyment) . Remember I can't change anything so if you have any questions, please email me at jhsim@perocollect.com

My new website where I am selling a great deal of my collections is Icollect247.com., My new Gas Pump Identification book is available at: www.gaspumpbible.com

What are you looking for, I may have it, air meter parts but not much else.

Phone calls are all right, but remember I am almost 100% deft due to my military service during Korea and Vietnam. 314-427-3943

Talk to Cindy, she says she knows more about this stuff than I do.

Jack Hats Off & Thanks for your Service, I know you served in 2 (conflicts) which didn't receive the soldier recognition you were entitled. Your a wealth of information & a tribute to the hobby - even though we might not always agree on all discussions - like what to call a Lubester/oil dispenser - LOL. but I still appreciate your input & the items I've purchased from you and look forward to more fellow hobbist Laroy

Thank you so much for your service to this great country of ours. Your contribution to the gas and oil collectible hobby has enabled many of use to enjoy our passion at a level that would otherwise not have been possible. I have all of your pump and air meter books and reference thew at least once a week. I have also been fortunate enough to have met you a couple of times at the CTO show. As you start to let your collection go and fad away as so many soldiers do, please do so with the realization that our hobby would not be as great and knowledgeable with out your contributions. Please stay involved and take your time moving to a less hectic live style!

Mr. Sim,

Thank you for your service for our Country and your love of collecting. Your excellent pump ID/reference book I own was a gift to me as I started to dabble a few years ago with Oil and Gas. It has really helped me out.

Respectfully,

Dave

Cheers

SALUTE!!

Your collection sounds like a visit from American Pickers calling. But I've heard stories about how those shows actually go. Probably best to keep it within this forum. Thank you!!

Love motorcycles, got eleven right now, dealing on others. Looking for a 1948 to 1954 Jawa 350 Twin.
