Matthews Auctions, LLC is doing the 1st Peter Capell auction April 3, 2020. This is a online only timed auction, lots will start closing at 6 pm CT. One lot will close every minute till are all done, but if someone bids in the last two minutes of the lot closing, the lot will automatically extend for two more minutes till everybody is done bidding. Peter Capell estate consisted of a large pole thermometers, Salt & Pepper Shakers and oil can banks which will all be sold through Matthews Auctions. Peter's Globe collection will be sold at the CTO Show Auction June 27th. 1# Peter Capell Online Only Timed Catalog

Interesting, didn't know he hailed from Paterson.

Peter passed away last August from complication from hip surgery, his sister contacted me in January about selling his collection. We are selling all of his smalls in two online only auction in April and all of his globes, oil bottles and other miscellaneous items at the CTO show/auction on June 27th with Aaron and Andy.

One of the Pole Thermometers on the auction was purchased from me,rare, it brought over $600.00 on feebay.
