I Am considering the purchase of this Esso Credit Card Sign. The sign is porcelain and mounted in a metal frame. Here are my questions:

Was this frame the common mount for this sign? Would it be considered rare to be found in the frame and does it significantly enhance the sign’s value. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I did a quick search online and found 3 examples of this version of the Esso credit card signs. 2 of the 3 appear to have the outer framing similar to yours.

I have one of the red/white/blue versions with the 2 original mounting brackets. These are pole-mount brackets that attach to the upper and lower holes on the left side of your sign (your top photo).
