My thoughts are this was a wall decoration, especially with the name of the dealership above the Indian Head. This would have been difficult to see on the ceiling.

Hi, Al. A friend of mine had a Pontiac dealership sales floor literature display that I saw years ago. It used two of these same panels at the top, but with left- and right-facing Indian logos. I don't recall if it was a free-standing, floor brochure display, or one meant to hang on the dealership showroom wall. The display felt like a late-1940's or early-1950's design to me. I believe Pontiac phased out this Indian logo around 1956 or so. John

Makes sense, I just couldn't believe this would be a ceiling tile, especially with the dealership name above the Indian Head.
