Just bought this Large 1950’s Wolverine Texaco Fire Chief Pump off of an old Texaco employee. He added an original mini fire chief pump sign where a paper label would be and he added an original contains lead sign on the side. Also used flat head screws for affect. The pump has shelving in the back. I wanted to share the modification and ask if anyone had this pump as a kid. Thanks

...nice!...funny how good of a fit the sign is...wonder if the original decal is behind the sign?
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Does this pump have a manufacturer? This appears to be a pump made by someone, mainly because it does not look like any pump I have ever seen, when I look at the back picture. Don't get me wrong, who ever made it did a very nice job, but.....

Jack Sim Jack, The pump was made by the wolverine toy company. I had one several years ago. They were made in the 1960's. A lot of people display them with their pedal cars and pedal tractors.

Yes Wolverine Toy Co.
30” x 14” metal pump. Here is a pic with the original decal. I tried finding some advertisement for the toy pump with no luck.

When I was little, I had this pump and hat and a pedal tractor. Lots of great memories. I think I have the advertisement for the toy pump somewhere. If I ever find it, I will post a picture of it.
